UPSC Interview - Last but not the Least!
24.04.2014 16:45

The whole process of Civil Services Examination is conducted in three stages – first, Prelims, the screening test; second, Main, the written test; and the last, Interview, personality test. Though interview is the last stage of the whole process, holds significance as it may be a determinant factor of a candidate. The marks obtained in the interview may put a candidate in the toppers list.

Hence, a student should not be casual about this test. But question is, “Is a thorough preparation for the interview required?” Perhaps, Yes. Now, let this question be twisted in a slightly different manner, “Does it require any preparation for the personality test?” Perhaps the answer is ‘No’. The reason being personality is what you are in real sense and it cannot be changed overnight.
